Knitting for Olive Merino

Knitting for Olive Merino is a soft, thin, fingering-weight yarn made from 100% merino wool. Merino wool regulates temperature, keeping the body warm in the cold and releasing heat in warm weather, while keeping the skin cool. At the same time, the wool wicks moisture away from the skin and can absorb up to 30% of its own weight without feeling wet.

This yarn pairs exceptionally well with silk-mohair yarn, for example, and is often knitted double-stranded. Merino wool is also well-suited for those with sensitive skin. It is stain-resistant and requires minimal care.

The yarn is spun in Italy, where the factory adheres to ethical, technical, and environmental standards, producing yarns free of harmful chemicals. The merino wool comes from sheep bred in Patagonia, where mulesing is not practiced.
