Anker’s Sweater – My Size is one of the best-selling patterns in our shop. Below are a few reasons for its huge popularity:

  • Easy and beginner-friendly pattern

  • The merino wool yarn used in the pattern, Sandnes Garn Sunday or Double Sunday, is wonderfully soft and pleasant to knit with as well as to wear.
  • You don’t need to stare at the pattern constantly—you can even knit while watching TV

  • Seamlessly knitted from the top down

  • The ribbing pattern on the yoke makes the knitting more interesting than plain stockinette and also gives the shirt a beautifully fitting shape

The Anker’s Sweater – My Size is designed to have approx. 6-10 cm [6¼-8¼ inches] of positive ease in the smaller sizes and then gradually less positive ease in the larger sizes.

The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ (51¼-55) 55-59 inches]. The measurements for the finished sweater are listed on the front page of the pattern. Measure yourself before starting your project, to determine which size will fit you the best. For example, if you measure 90 cm [35½ inches] around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit a size S. A size S slipover has a bust circumference of 96 cm [37¾ inches], which in the given example would give you 6 cm [6¼ inches] of positive ease.

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL

Lengths: 52 (54) 56 (60) 62 (62) 64 (68) 70 cm [20½ (21¼) 22 (23½) 24½ (24½) 25¼ (26¾) 27½ inches]

Anker’s Sweater – My Size is worked from the top down. The sleeves are worked at the end, either on double-pointed needles or on circular needles using the Magic Loop technique. Anker’s Sweater – My Size has no finishing other than weaving in ends.

Nice to knit. Instructions understandable. Heavy when finished since it was knitted with double yarn.

  3. Clearly written instructions, the sweater itself is still waiting to be knitted.

  4. Great pattern, but my own mistake when I knitted after a long time and with too large needles for my handwriting. I should have knitted a gauge swatch😆.

  5. the knit is not ready yet, but as a first-time yoke knitter I have been delighted by the clarity of the instructions and the ease of knitting, just by following the instructions. I bought the yarns at the same time. I only suspect that I bought a few balls too few. well, we’ll see towards the end. No photo yet.
