How many balls of yarn do I need?

The Cone Top is knitted from the top down. A beautiful lace pattern is worked on the upper part of the sweater while increasing stitches. After that, raglan increases are worked. The lower part of the sweater is knitted in stockinette stitch in the round. Finally, the sleeves are knitted.

All measurements are for the finished garment; the circumference measurements include some ease. The measurements are calculated based on the gauge specified in the pattern.

  • XS-S = 6 skeins
  • M-L = 7 skeins
  • XL-2XL = 8 skeins
  • 3XL = 9 skeins

GAUGE

20 sts = 10 cm [4 inches] in stockinette stitch on 4 mm [US6] needles

NEEDLES

Circular needles: 3.5 and 4 mm Double-pointed needles: 3.5 and 4 mm. Start by knitting a swatch to determine which needle size gives you the correct gauge.
